What UTSTM Has Been Up To (February 2017)

February was lovely for UT Sciences Toastmasters, as love was very much in the air. Some highlights from the month:
  • The club welcomed its newest officer, Harish, who will be serving as the club’s Treasurer. Harish was previously a Toastmasters member in India, so he brings a lot of experience to the position.
  • Two members of UTSTM, Kareem and Tarek, represented the club at the Area level, competing in the International Speech Contest and Table Topics. Tarek will go on to represent our club at the Division Level. Good luck Tarek!

  • One of the club’s most involved members and club secretary, Sarah, presided over a feedback-session with our club members! We learned a lot about how the club currently runs, as well as received advice on how to improve the club experience for our members. We hope to use this valuable information during future meetings.

Lastly, if you haven’t already checked out the February 2017 issue of the Toastmaster magazine, do give it a read. This month’s edition focuses on great stories of love between Toastmasters members, as well as a unique project in Malaysia where Toastmasters skills are coming to great use.

  1. Although available online for over three years, The Devil Corp has yet to be challenged in a court of law and that’s an amazing fact considering the nature of the site. Is their refusal to act an admission of guilt?
